Dateline: Thursday, July 31st. The News Show moves across town for a night of info-tastic delight at Toronto's Bad Dog Theatre. Aided by Rob "Bullets" Bartlett in the tech booth, The NEws Show kicked off without a hitch, and it was local stand-up Levi MacDougall who got the crowd warmed up in high style. Following him was the savage sketch silliness of Not Without My Arm, who's "friendly werewolf sketch" remains a crowd favourite.

Following a short intermission The News Show took the stage and did not disappoint. Returning to the desk after a brief hiatus were the regular anchors, Peter Gal and Kirsten Gallagher, who tore into the night's headlines like viscious journalistic dogs. This month's show featured a new segment, "Hipster News" with Deena (bringing an editorial on Igor Kenk, the famous Toronto bike thief); Interviews with Sen. John McCain, Bea Arthur, and a Guantanamo Bay General; The Entertainment Beat with Alice Moran and Brian Crosby; plus hard hitting video-exposes by Kirsten Gallagher and Brad Sayeau, Phil Dubrovsky's "Amish Tech Report", and much more. Thanks go out again to everyone else who came out and supported us.
