Wednesday, January 30th saw the second edition of Toronto's only dedicated current events comedy show at Kensington Market's Bread & Circus. The News Show was kicked off this month by some world-class stand-up comedy from Dave Barclay and Tim Gilbert (pinch-hitting for the suddenly ill vaudeville stylings of Parker & Seville).

After a short break The News Show took the stage and delivered up-to-the-month current events satire, courtesy of anchors Brian Crosby and Jana Peck. The night's top story was the (unsurprising) US Primary campaign drop-out of Rudolph Giuliani, who had officially announced his withdrawal mere moments before. This month's show featured "The View From Hell" with the Devil (opining on Global Warming); Consumer reporting from Toronto's masked Consumer Avenger; The Entertainment Beat featuring Alice Moran and Phil Dubrovsky; a hard hitting video-expose by Kirsten Gallagher and Brad Sayeau, and much more.
